GLIM M-8 SE is made with custom designed,
multiple section and layered output
power transformer. A complete stereo amplification system consists of 2 pcs mono
power amplifiers and a common power supply for both matched amplifier
units, as seen above in the middle.

The amplifier is operating
in pure Class A in a Single Ended configuration and the output power
tube is triode connected. It is suitable for
dynamic speakers with 4 or 8 ohms nominal impedance or also for drive units with a load
impedance
exceeding 8 ohms.
The output impedance options are 4, 8 and 16 ohms as standard.
A
short signal path is achieved by using only two amplifying stages. The
input stage is a cascade connected, capable of driving the output
power tube directly. Without overall feedback, the amplifiers sounds very
dynamical and detailed. Thanks to the excellent output transformer
design with multi-layer and multiple section windings, the frequency
range satisfies generously modern requirements. Each
GLIM M-8SE units, power supply and transformers are individually
serial numbered. |
