The new version with triode connected
power tube! The GLIM S-5
stereo integrated amplifier is capable of supplying realistic sound space
and lifelike dynamics. Together with medium impedance dynamic
speakers it is an ideal solution for a demanding instrumental music
listener at home.
The GLIM S-5 model features a matched pair of
new TESLA
KT88 / 6550 vacuum tubes, ceramic tube sockets, point to point
wiring, single ground point, silver plated copper signal wiring with
teflon insulation and golden input connectors of quality manufacture.
Substantial electrolytic capacitors for high temperature operation are
used inside the amplifier frame, which are bypassed with film
capacitors to ensure good power supply voltage filtration over wide frequency range. The
model S-5 is triode connected in Class A with no feedback.
The GLIM S-5 is supplied with separate
power supply, equipped with high inductance DC filter chokes
separately for each voltage and vacuum tube rectified voltage output
for the amplifier power tube screen and driver stage. The separate
power supply isolates the hum source away from the main amplifier and
regulated voltages keeps the operating points of the tubes always
optimal even for different tube replacements and during ageing of the
tubes.
Classic appearance is finalised with
massive teak frame and multi layer antique teak oil surface treatment.
It is recommended to repeat the treatment annually (remember to study
the precautions and instructions for teak oil handling).
